Boy, that title doesn't seem to do justice. It's almost like I'm calling everyone a fool or something =O. Lol thinking I should have done this on the 2nd of April. Might lessen the chances of someone thinking I laid a joke in here or something.
Ahhhh well . I'm just glad to know I can do thumbs in my journals even without a premium account. That way I can continue to do monthly features for everyone that's watching me. My little way of saying thanks and all that
So let's get down to this months featured list hmmm?
First up is ! She's a pretty quircky artist I recently started watching . What can I really say about her gallery that can't be shown by the below thumbnails? She's pretty much into everything that's creative under the sun, but yet I like her more abstract like drawings the most, mostly because it boggles my mind on how much time and dedication it takes to create something like that. I mean, I like adding details to my work, but the amount of details in these just blow me away!
Critique: Now, if I had to give a critique for her gallery, I would have to say that while I love all of the minute details in the drawing and the steady hand that it goes into creating the above (Hell I have problems with symmetry) I would love to see something with more shading and dynamic in it . Something compositionally made in different tones.
Then there's . Just as her name implies, she is a bit of a monster , but don't worry, she don't bite.... well ok that was a lie, she does, but she's still pretty awesome lol. Now, she's mostly a writer it seems, what with her writing quite a bit and all, but she's also pretty good at photography, which as a guy who likes more visual mediums I can't help but be drawn more to . Not to say that I don't check out her writing from time to time lol. She's pretty full of surprises really.

plus she has a cute cat :thumb265446758:
critique: Now, there really isn't much for me to critique on, since she's more of a writer and I don't know how to accurately critique literature. I guess what I could say is I'd like to see more of her photography, but that's not really much of a critique now is it?
Now we come down to and wow! Lol one of the more prolific photographers that I watch. Seriously, in a given week when this girl uploads her work my inbox shoots from like 5 messages, up to 200 on a given day. Well not that much, but still her work can accumulate and she does enjoy her work. Plus I think she's pretty good at what she does as well, which makes picking just three things rather hard in all honesty lol. Plus, she's been practically everywhere around the world, and her architecture pictures always blow me away!

and she has a cute cat too :thumb290527386:
Critique: Sadly there isn't much in the way of critiques for her either lol. I would definetely say though that I would love to see more architecture pictures, with less glare in them. Something that brings out more shadows in them, making them a bit of a sharper focus. That sort of stuff.
Is a bit of a cheater too , let me just say everything said here is a ditto of the above lol. With the added bonus that I really like the majesty and power of her nature photography.
:thumb293345514: :thumb293345270: :thumb292853916:
Critique: Same as above
At least now I can present as our final feature . Now, she doesn't nearly do enough work, in my opinion, but sadly life gets in the way sometimes and makes us busy (hell look at my work output). So sad, I find her illustrations to be simple, yet fun to look at . Something that's not overly elegant, but fun to look at and even comment on! Personally, I think her strengths lie in her linework if you ask me. They're always varied and most interesting to look at, and I hope you agree.

Critique: Now if I had to leave a critique of her work, I would definetly say that I'd love to see more of her stuff. Sadly, that's something that'll only happen if she's not so busy lol. But as far as her artwork itself goes, I say that while I love the simple colors that she does, and the subtle shading I would love to see what she can do if she really pushes the shading and goes for something a bit more darker to bring more life to her work. Like crosshatching, darker colors when shading, more solid colors ect. Something to shake up her gallery a little bit
And that's all for this month . Alls we got left is a happy birthday to who's birthday is sometime in April.

Finally adding Art to my list of Freelance work.
It's no secret. I've been doing Freelance work for the last year. So far? Pretty good. In all honesty, I've been making some pretty decent money with it, and I'm only getting better at it as time goes on.
But I've never actually monetized my art the same way as I monetized my writing.
Why?
Well. I guess it use to be I saw them differently. I'm a pretty decent writer, and I'm getting better as time goes on. But for me, writing was a means to an end. As long as it was coherent, made sense, and flowed smoothly I didn't much care about revision. For a lot of the people who hire me, that's good enough. They just want someone who writes well, an
Work, Work, Work.
Whew. Work.
Love what I currently do, but I wish I made more money at it. It's not a bad life so far. I make on average between $700-$1,000 writing. But it's not exactly creatively stimulating a lot of times. Sure, I help people ghostwrite their fantasy novels (In fact, currently helping someone write their fantasy epic), proofread their works, and write the occasional article. A lot of times I do some basic copywriting and peer review for people as well.
I guess the only direction I can go from here is up. Which is why I'm currently writing a series of horror stories to be published. Sadly, due to the restrictions on publishing, I can't po
Re-tooling my Deviant Art Page.
Wow. To say the least. Wow.
My last journal entry was over. Gosh. Looking at it, it was over 3 years ago and some odd months. That last journal entry basically was me asking for help gathering runes, and other things, such as sigils, and magical circles for a project I was working on at the time that never came to fruition. I gathered what I could from people, and I still have everything that everyone helped me with, but I never picked up anything else. Sure, I doodled here and there, and I even did a few drawings that I've posted from time to time here. But nothing ever came of it,and nothing ever came from anything else.
I guess there's r
Favor to ask
Hey people! Currently wrapping up a very time consuming (as far as it goes with me) project that's perhaps one of the most detailed images I've ever done, and I'm starting to gather materials for another project I'm hoping to work on, albeit at a slower pace.
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with some of the materials? It's not like money, or the like, but mostly what I need help with is looking for things like Runes, alchemical symbols, sigils, or even fake alphabets to created languages and the like. I'll show ya what I got planned in a few days after I'm done with homework, but needless to say I'm surprised I never thought of it before

hehe I know where my faults are... I've never been good with shading
unfortunately I haven't had much time lately to draw (not to mention improve -.-') which is also good, since drawing is like self-therapy for me. (me = bad mood/anxiety/stress --> me draws)
the time: ohh lots of it the dragon-thing drawing took months, simply because I always did only a little. but there were times when I "rushed it" (pushed myself into working on it...) and hence the huge black (faulty) part on the upper third of it...
but I'm sure I'll be drawing some stuff soon again, since there'll be exams at uni soon... (me=stressed)
